In
Spring, the mountain is covered
with dogwood blossoms, wild azaleas and mountain laurel.
Days are sunny and warm, nights cool. Hummingbirds and blue birds are
frequent visitors along with many different butterflies enjoying the wildflowers.
Spring is a great time for hiking, mountain biking, fishing, horseback riding,
and, of course, cuddling up in front of the fireplace.
Outdoor activities beckon in the summer, and at the end of the day you
can relax in a swing or a rocking chair, catch the summer breezes on the deck
and enjoy the mountain scenery. You are up high enough to look down on clouds in the valleys. There are abundant wild blackberries
on the mountain in summer. Whitewater rafting, boating, swimming, and tubing
are all offered in area and are a lot of fun.
Autumn is spectacular as the mountain has mostly hardwood trees of oak
and maple that create a dazzling display of color. You can hike through
the mountain trails in the morning, visit one of the many apple orchards, take
a drive on a country road, stop at a scenic picnic spot, take in one of the
fall festivals or discover a treasure antique shopping during the day and then
at night enjoy a cup of hot cider by a cozy fire in your cabin.
In Winter, the peaceful serenity of the mountains will let you
unwind and restore your well being. You may be lucky enough to see
snow -- we get several inches each year! It's a beautiful sight
to see the trees and mountains covered in a blanket of snow. On
sunny mild winter days, you can also enjoy activities such as horseback
riding, golf, hiking, etc. Area restaurants, shops, movie theaters,
etc. are open all winter too.
Whatever season you choose, you will never
forget the time spent in one
of our peaceful cabins in the beautiful North Georgia Mountains.
