SUNSHINE IN THE PINES - Long range mountain views overlooking a protected National Forest

On line and email was quick and easy, with clear communication. Its up there with the best cabin rentals in the area

We really enjoy coming to your cabins, and look forward to trying out a couple more in the near future. Right now Blue Ridge Bliss is my wifes favorite. I like Big Bear but there is no pets and we love taking our German Shepherd with us.

This cabin needs some work. Notebook and website need to match, conflicting instructions. We enjoyed ourselves and the area. The kitchen is very well equipped. Plenty of paper products and soaps.

Everything was handled and managed by email and was extremely efficient. Staff was very attentive and we had no problems.

The members of the Above the Rest team were incredible to work with. They were quick to answer our call for maintenance help. Their maintenance guy, Scott "Cotton" had our issue resolved in about 30 seconds and even provided my husband with a few fishing tips. The Above the Rest team made sure we were satisfied with the repair and even offered alternative cabins to genuinely ensure we would have a great vacation experience.

We LOVED everything about this cabin. The location, the layout, and the views were all exceptional. Plus all of the little extras that made our stay that much more relaxing. From the moment we entered this cabin it felt like home. It was super clean and had everything we needed and more. The views of the mountains and the sunsets were amazing. Sitting in the rocking chairs on the porch was the perfect way to wind down our day. On our first night, we encountered a slight maintenance issue. The Above the Rest team was understanding and compassionate to our needs. They even suggested we could move to a different cabin if the issue could not be resolved to our satisfaction. After one night in Sunshine in the Pines, we were already too smitten by this cabin to even think about moving to another cabin. Fortunately, our issue was resolved about 30 minutes after it was reported. We quickly learned that next time we need to book a longer stay. **We read the reviews about the stairs being a burden. This was not our experience. Plus, going up a little higher just makes those views that much sweeter. We can't wait to come back!!

Weve never had anything but a friendly, professional experience when dealing with any of the staff or owners themselves! We always enjoy our stays in the Above the Rest cabins! The pictures depict the cabins accurately, theyre always well equipped, feel like a home away from home, the check in process was a breeze and the staff is always friendly, receptive and efficient with questions or requests. Weve stayed in four different cabins!
