Project Chimps
Project Chimps gives lifelong, exemplary care to chimpanzees retired from research at its 236-acre forested sanctuary in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Hiking trails are open daily. The sanctuary is not open for daily admission, but several special events are hosted throughout the year. Special opportunities exist for private group tours—call to request your tour.

Blue Ridge Scenic Railway
An event the whole family can enjoy—relax on a train ride through beautiful North Georgia. Starting at the historic depot in downtown Blue Ridge, riders take a four-hour, 26-mile roundtrip journey along the Toccoa River through the North Georgia countryside. Enjoy a one-hour trip to the sister towns of McCaysville, GA and Copperhill, TN with a two-hour layover before the return trip.

Mercier Orchards
One of the top attractions in the state, Mercier Orchards is a family- and veteran-owned apple orchard now in its fourth generation. They grow strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, peaches and apples. Enjoy U-PICK events, the Bakery & Market Cafe, Market Store, and the Farm Winery. Check the website for upcoming events.
