Project Chimps
| Project Chimps gives lifelong, exemplary care to chimpanzees retired from research at its 236-acre forested sanctuary in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Hiking Trails are open daily. The sanctuary, however, is not open for daily admission, but several special events are hosted throughout the year. Blue Ridge Scenic Railway
| An event the whole family can enjoy, relax on a train ride through beautiful North Georgia. Starting at the historic depot in downtown Blue Ridge, riders take a four-hour, 26-mile roundtrip journey along the Toccoa River through the North Georgia countryside. The first leg of the adventure takes you on a one hour trip to the quaint sister towns of McCaysville, Georgia and Copperhill, Tennessee, nestled deep in the mountains on each state`s line.
